Dale City Elementary Schooler Honored For 'Making The Right Call'

DALE CITY, VA — A Dale City fourth grader was honored recently by the Prince William County for calling 911 when her brother was having a medical emergency. The award — called the Making The Right Call Award — is presented by the county Office of Public Safety Communications.

Ayleen, a student at Dale City Elementary School, was recognized by a dispatcher for her "calmness and courage during a difficult situation.

According to the county, the Make the Right Call program shows the importance of knowing how to properly use 911 when emergency help is needed.
