Dale City's 4th Of July Celebration 2020 Canceled

Dale City's traditional Fourth of July parade has been canceled due to concerns about the health and safety of local residents.

DALE CITY, VA — July 4 events across the country will not look the same this year thanks to the coronavirus. Many cities and towns have been forced to cancel the annual Fourth of July events, including Dale City.

The Dale City Civic Association canceled its Fourth of July Parade for health and safety reasons. The parade often includes as many as 200 entrants.

"We realize many people will be disappointed in this decision but feel this is best for the safety and well-being of Dale City residents," the civic association said in a statement.
