The message of peace in Islam

Terrorism has surfaced as the biggest menace of the current times, particularly in past few decades. Unfortunately and unjustly, Islam and Muslims are deemed by some of the world population to be the root cause of this upsurge of terrorism all across the world.

There can be no greater argument supporting Islam as a religion of peace than the name of the religion itself. ‘Islam’ literally means peace, therefore, it seems quite unnatural that a religion that names itself peace can teach or preach something that is violent or full of aggression.

God Almighty in the Qur’an has taught Muslims to be moderate in their behavior and adopt the qualities of kindness, love and respect for others.

Terrorism is just a word in English, but it is a hazard for mankind. Victory in the war on terrorism will be truly achieved when everyone can live free from fear and when the threat of terrorist attacks no longer hangs over our daily lives.

As members of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA, it is our mission to spread peace,love,compassion and reconciliation at every level of the society and in every part of the world. We will not stop spreading love until every form of hatred has transformed into love and compassion.
