Photography Exhibit at NOVA-Woodbridge Explores Identity

"Positive ID: Bodies & Subjectivities in Photo" will go on display Aug. 26 through Sept. 26 at The Gallery at NVCC's Woodbridge campus.

“Positive ID: Bodies & Subjectivities in Photo” will soon be on display at The Gallery at Northern Virginia Community College’s Woodbridge campus.

The collection addresses “a number of identificatory issues, including the bodily relation to space, interpersonal relationships, transnationality, age, ephemerality, race, body distortion, gender and transgender,” according to the Northern Virginia Community College.

Participating artists include Robert Dupree, Linda Adele Goodine, Lamia Khorshid, Sara Northerner, Rhashia Sawyer, Charles Sessoms, Clarissa Sligh, Aiden Simon, Daniel Alexander Smith, Suzanne Szucs and Erin Zerbe.

Where: The Gallery on the first floor of the Arts & Sciences Building

When: Aug. 26 through Sept. 26

Opening reception: Aug. 28 - 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Gallery hours: T-Th 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The exhibit, including the reception, is open to the public.
