Enrollment in Fairfax County Public Schools' SACC (School Age Child Care) program is now open for the 2015-16 and 2016-17 school years, the county reported Monday.SACC provides before- and after-school care for elementary school-aged children from kindergarten through sixth grade. It serves Fairfax County families five days a week, with before-school care opening at 7 a.m. and after-school care running from the end of the school day until 6:15 p.m.SACC does not provide drop-in or partial-week programs.The program also runs during school breaks and holidays like summer vacation and winter and spring breaks, but it does so at consolidated sites and on a first come, first served basis. Additional fees may be assessed for programs during breaks and holidays, but the hours remain the same.To enroll a child in SACC, call 703-449-8989 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. If space at your child's school is unavailable, there are waiting lists to which you may add your name.
