Sinkhole Swallows Car In Dale City: Fire And Rescue

DALE CITY, VA—A parked vehicle fell victim to a large sinkhole Thursday night, July 4, on Princedale Road between Linendale and Roundtree, according to Prince William County Fire and Rescue. Upon arrival, crews "found the road collapsing and damaging at least one parked vehicle."

A VDOT official told Richmond-based WWBT that heavy rain blew out a pipe under the road, and InsideNova has video of the car being swallowed. Princedale Road will remain closed until repairs are made, say officials.
