• Fairfax County considers lowering speed limits to 20 mph in some neighborhoods (fox5dc.com) — Dranesville residents are being asked right now whether neighborhood speed limits should drop from 25 to 20 mph as part of a Fairfax County pilot in four districts. Online surveys are open through December 19, and if the plan moves forward, new 20 mph limits could roll out next summer, with results reviewed in early 2027.
