• Governor Glenn Youngkin Breaks Ground on Valley Crisis Receiving Center in Fishersville (rocktownnow.com) — A new Valley Crisis Receiving Center is officially moving forward in Fishersville, with Governor Glenn Youngkin joining local partners at Augusta Health to mark the start of construction. Located about a mile from the hospital, the center will offer 24/7 behavioral health crisis care, including stabilization beds, medical screening, and faster transfers for people under emergency custody orders once it opens.
   

• Driver charged after stolen vehicle pursuit ends with 2 injured in Fishersville (whsv.com) — A police pursuit of a reportedly stolen car ended in a violent rollover crash on Fishersville-area roads, injuring both the driver and a passenger. Deputies say the chase began on Hermitage Road and continued across several nearby roads before the vehicle flipped, with the Staunton driver later arrested and now being held without bond.
