$15K Reward Available In Manassas Mall Murder Case: Police

Prince William County Police announced a $15K reward for information regarding a shooting that killed a man at the Manassas Mall on April 2.

MANASSAS, VA — A $15,000 reward is being offered to anyone who can provide information that leads to the arrests and conviction of the suspects in a shooting that killed one man outside the Manassas Mall on April 2. The reward is being offered by the Prince William County Police Department through a partnership with the FBI.

Prince William County Police Chief Peter Newsham announced the reward at a press conference on Tuesday, April 2o. Newsham said that the victim in the shooting, Jahmar Latravern Graves of Baltimore, was working a contact position in the area to support his family.

Graves's mother, Cheryl LouAllen, also spoke at Tuesday's press conference. "He was trying to defuse a confrontation when he was shot and killed," LouAllen said. "My son was in Virginia to provide for his children. Now, his children are fatherless."

Graves had two sons and a daughter. His youngest child is 2 years old.

"I'm appealing to all the mothers and people who have lost loved ones to gun violence," LouAllen said. "These people are dangerous and have demonstrated they have no concern for human life."

The police department previously released a video that shows the five suspects in the shooting. Authorities said that they fled the scene in a black BMW with temporary Virginia license plates.
