Stabbing Suspect Sought By Police In Manassas On Sunday

MANASSAS, VA ? Authorities are looking for a man accused of stabbing a victim multiple times in Manassas on Sunday.

The victim, a 26-year-old man, was flown to an area hospital on Sunday afternoon. His injuries were not life-threatening, according to the Prince William County Police Department.

Investigators have identified the suspect as 23-year-old Bobby Damont Gross. Gross is wanted for one count of aggravated malicious wounding.

Authorities described Gross as a Black man who is about 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs 185 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

Authorities said the stabbing occurred around 5 p.m. on Sunday in the woods behind a business in the 8000 block of Stream Walk Lane in Manassas. Investigators believe Gross and the victim had an argument that escalated.

"At one point during the encounter, the accused retrieved a knife and stabbed the victim multiple times before fleeing on foot," the police department said in a report.

A police helicopter and K-9 searched for Gross, but they could not find him.
