Attempted Strong-Armed Robbery at Soldier's Ridge Circle
Police are searching for a juvenile who tried to steal a Manassas man's cellphone out of his hands after asking for the time.

Prince William County Police responded to a report of an attempted strong-armed robbery Wednesday, Oct. 29 around 10:45 p.m. at the 11200 block of Soldier’s Ridge Circle in Manassas.
The victim, a 44-year-old Manassas man, told police he was outside his residence when an unknown male juvenile approached him and asked the victim for the time. The victim pulled out his cellphone to check the time, at which point the suspect reached out and grabbed the phone. The victim held onto the device and a struggle ensued. The suspect eventually fled on foot without the phone.
No injuries were reported. Officers used a K-9 to search for the suspect, who is described as a 5’8” black male between 15 and 16 years old. He is described as having a thin build, medium complexion, short dyed-blonde hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing dark-colored clothing.
