Bertram H. Benson, 73

Bertram H. Benson, age 73 of Manassas, VA died on Sunday, November 23, 2014 in Daytona Beach, Fl.

He was a long time resident of Manassas and volunteered for the Prince William County Sheriff Department and Dumfries Police Department Reserve.
He worked for IBM for 30 years then for Toshiba and then Micron retiring in 2006. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his wife and family.

He is survived by his loving wife Hinke Benson; his children Richard Benson and wife Coleen, Charles “Chuck” Benson and wife Vicki and Michael Benson and wife Susan; his siblings John Burgess and Iris McLeod and by his 7 grandchildren Justin, Paige, Amanda, Brittany, Chloe, Alysa and Alexandra.

The family will receive friends at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, VA on Monday, December 1, 2014 from 6-8 PM where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at 11:00 AM. Interment Stonewall Memory Gardens.

Flowers will be accepted or donations in his memory may be made to the American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association.
