Car Crash In Nokesville Kills 1 Driver, Injures Another: Police

A driver from Manassas died after a car crash on Bristow Road in Nokesville on Wednesday, the Prince William County Police Department said.

NOKESVILLE, VA — A 22-year-old man died after a car crash on Bristow Road in Nokesville on Wednesday, May 26, according to the Prince William County Police Department. The man, Nathan Patrick Reed, died at the hospital.

Authorities said the crash occurred before 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 26. Officers with the Crash Investigation Unit noted that the crash occurred in the 13300 block of Bristow Road.

Investigators claimed that Reed was driving his 2005 Subaru WRX northbound on Bristow Road when his car crossed the center line into a southbound lane. Police said that the Subaru then struck a 2013 Nissan Leaf that was travelling southbound.

In a report, the police department said that Reed was extricated from the vehicle and taken to a nearby hospital, where he died.

The driver of the Nissan Leaf, who police identified as a 16-year-old boy from Nokesville, was also taken to the hospital. His injuries were not considered life-threatening, authorities said.

Authorities noted that Reed was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Investigators claimed that speed was a factor in the crash.
