Christmas Parade, Tours: Manassas 2019 Holiday Events

MANASSAS, VA — Kick off the 2019 holiday season at Santa Lights Manassas, planned for 5:15 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6. The event takes place in Historic Downtown Manassas and precedes the city's annual Christmas Parade on Saturday, Dec. 7.

In addition to the ceremonial tree lighting, Santa Lights features holiday musical performances and a visit from Santa himself when he arrives by train just after 6 p.m. After Santa lights the tree, he will greet the children and listens to their holiday wish lists.

Manassas will be hosting other holiday events throughout the month of December. Check out the calendar for an event that interests you.

Dec. 6 — Santa Lights Manassas, 9201 Center Street, 5:15 p.m.

Dec. 6-31 — Deck the Museum exhibit, Manassas Museum, 9101 Prince William Street

Dec. 7 — Christmas Parade, Historic Down Manassas, starts at Mathis Avenue and Carriage Lane, 10 a.m.

Dec. 8 — Merry Old Town Free Carriage Ridge, Historic Manassas Visitor’s Center, 9431 West Street, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Dec. 8 — GFCW Manassas Holiday House Tour, tickets available at Train Depot, Manassas Museum and The Things I Love, Center Street, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Dec. 8 — A Celtic Family Christmas, Natalie MacMaster and Donnell Leahy bring their Irish holiday performance, Hylton Performing Arts Center, 10960 George Mason Circle, 4 p.m.

Dec. 13 — Holiday Pops: American Festival Pops Orchestra, Hylton Performing Arts Center, 10960 George Mason Circle

Dec. 14-15 — Old Town Manassas Christmas Market and Holiday Craft Show, Harris Pavilion, 9201 Center Street, noon to 4 p.m.

Dec. 14 — Manassas Chorale Winter Concert, Hylton Performing Arts Center, 10960 George Mason Circle, Saturday, 7:30 p.m.

Dec. 15 — Holiday Open House at Liberia, 8601 Portner Avenue, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday
