Competition Features Swinging A Mace And Running
This event, the Vintage Strength Games, is the first of its kind and will take place around the country, starting in Manassas.

MANASSAS, VA — The Shop Gym is hosting the inaugural Vintage Strength Games, a contest based around maces and clubs. There will be a series of similar events held around the country regularly, and the one in Manassas is kicking it all off.
Swinging maces and clubs and sprinting at the same time is pretty difficult, and that's what the games are largely based on. With one handed maces, two handed maces and sprints and runs, this Aug. 17 competition is set to be a fun and challenging one.
The competition is for people of all experience levels. There are two weight classes for men (under 200 lbs./200 or more lbs.) and two for women (under 130 lbs./130 or more lbs.).
