'Debbie Cali Is Always Helping Those In Need': Manassas Hero

MANASSAS, VA — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we’re working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

This submission comes from Nalin Theodore who nominated Debbie Cali of Manassas. Theodore, who works regularly with Cali as a volunteer, greatly admires the work she has done helping those in need.

Reason for recognition: Debbie Cali is always helping those in need. She spends much of her time helping the Georgetown South community of Manassas in her role at Grace United Methodist Church. She helps distribute food to those in need in GTS. At the church, Cali works with youth and helps the church make book deliveries and build benches. Cali, who has two children, is originally from New Orleans.

One thing to know: She is super nice and kind, and she helps anyone in need.
