DOLLIE MARIE FLETCHER, widow of Donald David Fletcher, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, October 4, 2014. Marie was born on December 8, 1931, in Southwestern Virginia to Henry and Rachel Fletcher. She is survived by her children Donna Fletcher McClellan, Leslie David Fletcher and Larry Donald Fletcher and his wife Rose. She is also survived by her grandchildren James McClellan (Tatum) and Christopher McClellan (Aleana), Jennifer Fletcher, Zachary Fletcher, Shawn Jenkins and Chris Jenkins. Marie also had one great grandchild, Bradley Jenkins. She is also survived by a sister, Adeline Belcher and two brothers: Earl Fletcher and Bernard Fletcher. She was preceded in death by a sister and four brothers.
Marie was a long-time resident of Manassas, VA. She found greatest pleasure in spending time with her family, particularly her grandchildren. She loved gardening, baking and antiquing, and always kept a gracious, loving home. She was an active member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Nokesville, VA. Marie was cherished by a close-knit extended family and many friends for her gentleness, grace and unfailing dignity.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, VA where services will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Stonewall Memory Gardens, Manassas, VA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lake Jackson Fire Department or Asbury United Methodist Church.
