Halloween In Manassas: Families Go Downtown For Trick-Or-Treating
Parents and their children crowded the sidewalks in historic Manassas late Saturday morning and early afternoon to celebrate Halloween.
MANASSAS, VA — Parents and their children crowded the sidewalks along Center Street in Manassas Saturday morning and early afternoon as downtown businesses helped families celebrate Halloween. The event gave families a chance to go door-to-door since most children would not be going out Halloween night in their neighborhoods for traditional trick-or-treating.
Children went from shop to shop, picking up candy and other treats along the main strip in historic Manassas on a sunny Halloween day.
According to shopkeepers, the numbers were down from previous Halloween events in historic Manassas. But the business owners were still impressed with the number of people who showed up to celebrate Halloween during the coronavirus.

Both parents and children dressed up in costumes, with contests and games held at the Harris Pavilion. Participants wore masks and generally kept a safe distance as they enjoyed their time out of the house, filling their bags with treats and showing off their costumes.
