Happy Fourth of July!
I am very proud to be living in the US with a great education and a stable home, which some people around the world don't have.

The Fourth of July is finally here; Americans celebrate this day remembering the hard work of the forefathers of America to gain independence from Great Britain and then build, shape, and run a new great country.

I have been very excited for today. My siblings and I have been making decorations and we even got some sweets for today!

As an Ahmadi Muslim, I remember this verse of the Holy Quran; “O ye who believe! obey God, and obey His Messenger and those who are in authority over you” (Ch.4: V.60).
This means that along with obeying God and the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), as Muslims we must be loyal to our country and obey the laws of our country, and “those who are in authority over you”.

The Khalifa (Caliph) of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, stated: ‘A true Muslim can never raise his voice in hatred against his fellow citizens, nor for that matter against the ruling authority or government of the time. It is the responsibility of a true Muslim that he should remain loyal and fully abide by the laws of the land of which he is a subject.’
