'Help a Horse' Day Sunday in Manassas
"Help a Horse' Day will be held Sunday at the Prince William County Animal Shelter. It's part a national bid on behalf of abandoned horses.

MANASSAS, VA — Kids can ride or pet a horse this weekend, while their parents can donate money to the care of horses in need. The Prince William County Animal Shelter is hosting “Help a Horse” Day noon-4 p.m. Sunday at 14807 Bristow Road, an event that strives to make horses' lives better in the county.
So giddy up and check it out, or something like that, with an event that includes arts and crafts for kids, hobby horse races, a scavenger hunt, raffles and a middle school art contest. Also, Girl Scout Brownie Troop 2431 will be holding a food drive for the shelter.
