Humans’ Best Bud Looking for Forever Home with Belly Rub Exp

Adorable local rescue dog is looking for a home

Meet Bentley! He’s 35lbs of adorable studmuffin that somehow has been overlooked in his search for a forever family. We’ve been told he may be some sort of Lab mix, but we’re thinking there may be some seal in there when we take into account his big brown melt-your-heart-into-soup eyes. Bentley initially came to our group very skittish and uncertain, however, with some time, love, and his discovery of treats and belly rubs he has blossomed into a very sweet pup with huge personality. Though he isn’t a high energy pooch, this good boy pulls out quite the dance moves when he hears the word “walk” as he loves going out and exploring! His other favorite pastimes include playing fetch, being a lap dog, sticking his little feet in the air and making silly goose upside down faces and possibly using those big browns for treat time (more like definitely). His love for praise and willingness to please has made it easy to teach him “sit”, “shake”, “lay down” and we know he’d love to learn more new tricks. Although, Bentley speaks fluently in both snuggle time and belly rub languages he never really perfected learning dog language and has trouble cueing other dogs that he is uncomfortable. While he does great being in the general vicinity of other four legged friends and has no problem walking past them during walk time or attending adoption events (no reactive behavior like barking or lunging) we think he would be most comfortable in a household as the only dog. But, good news here, we are confident that this hunk is entertaining and loving enough that having him alone will surely be enough to keep your heart full and a smile on your face.

....and did we mention those big browns?!
