James 'Jim' McCusker Jr., 45

James Paul McCusker, Jr. (Jim), age 45, of Manassas, Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 4, 2014.

He graduated in 1987 from Osbourn High School, Manassas, Virginia. He served in the United States Navy from 1989 to 1993. While on active duty, he earned the Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Award.

Jim earned degrees in Business Administration and Computer Science. He was a member of the National Honor Society. He was previously employed by Booze Allen Hamilton. At the time of death, Jim was employed by Intelligence Decisions in Ashburn, Virginia. He was a member of All Saints Catholic Church, 9300 Stonewall Road, Manassas, Virginia. Jim was a member of the George Brent Council of the Knights of Columbus. Also an avid sports fan and coached local youth soccer teams

He was born July 26, 1969, in Alexandria, Virginia. Jim was married for 25 years to his wife, Linda J. (Loan) and was the son of James Paul and Mary McCusker of Manassas, Virginia. Survivors also include sons Tyler, Ryan and Sean, a daughter Mary Katherine (Katie) and a sister, Michelle and husband, Brent, McKenzie. Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and from 6:00 to 9:00 pm on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, Virginia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am at All Saints Catholic Church, Manassas, Virginia on Friday, October 10. Interment will be at Quantico National Cemetery on Tuesday, October 14, at 10:00 am.
