Linda Theresa Buell-Jenkins, 61

Linda Theresa Buell-Jenkins, age 61, of Manassas, Virginia passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at the Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, Virginia.

She was born on May 13, 1954 in Marcy, New York the daughter of the late Chester Walter and Ruth Elizabeth (McIntyre) Groch. She grew up in Bowie, Maryland and attended Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania where she earned her A.A. in Early Childhood Education. From Maryland, her family moved to Kentucky to then settle in Manassas in 1987. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas William Buell of 13 years. In 1989 she married, Jerry Lane Jenkins whom she lost to Alzheimer Disease in 2009. For over 20 years she had worked as a Customer Service Representative for Bowl America in Chantilly and Manassas, Virginia.

Survivors include her children, Kelly A. Hostetler and husband Bryan of Manassas, VA, Erin M. German and husband Robert of Manassas, VA, Brandon M. Buell-Jenkins and wife Lisa of Linden, VA and Michael T. Madill of Manassas, VA; one brother, Keith Groch and wife Sandra of Gambrills, MD; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Brieana, Makenzie, Abigail and two on the way. Additional family members include numerous in-laws in the Buell and Jenkins families, as well her “adopted” loved ones.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 9, 2015 from 11:00-1:00 PM and 6:00-9:00 PM at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, Virginia where a Memorial Service will be 11:00 AM Thursday, September 10, 2015. Reception will be held immediately following services at Bowl America 4525 Stonecroft Blvd.-Chantilly, VA to receive friends and family and to continue celebrating her life.
