Manassas 7-11 Robber Is At Large: Police

The robber fled on foot Monday night after holding up a Manassas 7-11, say Prince William police.

MANASSAS, VA — The Prince William County police are searching for the man who robbed a 7-Eleven on Monday in the Manassas area. The individual eluded a search by a K-9 unit and a helicopter, but the police released store surveillance photos of him on Tuesday.

At 9:02 p.m. Monday, officers responded to the report of a robbery at the 7-Eleven at 10420 Portsmouth Road. A store employee told them that an individual wearing a mask entered the store and brandished a handgun toward the employee.

The robber is described as a male of an unknown race or age, 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 220 pounds with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a red bandana covering his face, a black jacket with a hoodie, blue jeans, and black and white shoes with white soles.

The robber forced the employee to open the cash register to get some money before fleeing the store on foot. No injuries were reported, the police said.

A Prince William police K-9 team and a police helicopter from Fairfax County were called in to search for the robber, who was not located, the police said.
