MANASSAS, VA ? Someone entered the Manassas Amazon Fresh store on Wednesday while it was closed and tried to take items from the employees' locker room, the Prince William County Police Department said in its report.

Authorities have not publicly identified any suspects yet. The police department did not provide a description for the suspect, either.

No injuries were reported in the burglary, and no items were taken out of the store. Police said the would-be thief put the items on the ground when a worker confronted him.

Police officers arrived at the store around 2:20 a.m., though the suspect had already left, authorities said.

Through their investigation, officers determined that the man entered the store while it was closed to the public and went to the employee locker room. There, he took personal items from several lockers, according to the police report.

As the man walked to the store's exit, an employee confronted him. The suspect put the stolen items on the ground and left the store, police said.
