Manassas Dialysis Center Wins Excellence Award

 Fresenius Medical Care Prince William County Dialysis facility in Manassas earned the Center of Excellence designation for achieving the highest standards in patient care in 2012. 

These annual awards recognize the best-performing Fresenius Medical Care North America dialysis facilities nationwide, based on multiple objective measures of clinical quality, according to a press release issued by the company. 

Fresenius Medical Care evaluates facilities for Center of Excellence recognition by reviewing key patient outcome measures such as dialysis adequacy, control of anemia, nutritional status, patient satisfaction and transplant education.

 “At Fresenius Medical Care, our clinical teams are focused on providing patients with the highest quality of care during each and every treatment,” said Carolyn Latham, vice president of clinical quality and UltraCare at Fresenius Medical Care. 

“Our Center of Excellence award recognizes the facilities that achieve the very best clinical results through the dedication and hard work of their staff.”

 Fresenius Medical Care  standards are based on recommendations by Kidney Disease Outcomes Quality Initiative of the National Kidney Foundation.
