Manassas Drive Closed After Vehicle Snaps Power Pole In Half: Police
Manassas Drive is shut down between Mace Street and Kent Village Square as authorities deal with a NOVEC power pole that was snapped.
MANASSAS PARK, VA ? Manassas Drive is shut down between Mace Street and Kent Village Square, authorities said on Friday afternoon. The Manassas Park Police Department said a vehicle snapped a NOVEC power pole in half in a crash.
The single-vehicle crash occurred around 10 a.m. on Friday morning. Authorities believe a driver suffered a medical emergency before hitting the pole. They reported minor injuries.
"NOVEC is currently on-scene and beginning repairs, however it will take several hours," the Manassas Park Police Department wrote on Facebook. "All traffic is being diverted around the accident."
