Manassas Included on Top Places to Live in Virginia

New rankings from Niche break down the best places to live in Virginia, and both Manassas Park and Manassas made the list.

MANASSAS, VA — Where's the best place to live in Virginia? That depends on who you ask and according to a new set of rankings released by Niche.com, both Manassas Park and Manassas, suburbs of the nation’s capital, are the 90th and 94th-best places to live, respectively, in the Commonwealth.

Here's what one resident had to say about Manassas Park, according to the website: ". . .I've been in Manassas Park for nearly all 24 years of my life . The city sits on a major VRE station that attracts government employees to move their families here. The population is incredibly diverse. Its fully-accredited school system was good to me and my siblings."

And here's what one resident had to say about Manassas, according to the website: ". . .I have been living in Manassas now for over 10 years and I have seen it blossom over time into an absolutely wonderful place to settle down and raise a family. I live just a few minutes outside Old Town Manassas and I have only good things to say about it!"

The ranking looked at several factors, such as public schools, a family friendly environment, crime and safety, diversity and housing. Manassas Park received a B for its public schools, A-minus for a family friendly environment, A-plus for diversity and a C-plus for nightlife.
