Summon your inner-Irish spirit this weekend and head out to the 20th annual Greater Manassas Saint Patrick's Day Parade in Old Town.
MANASSAS, VA—Summon your inner-Irish spirit this weekend and head out to the 20th annual Greater Manassas Saint Patrick's Day Parade 11 a.m.-noon in Old Town. We're talking pipe bands, Irish dance groups and more. The theme for this year's parade is the emerald.
It begins at the intersection of Prescott Avenue and Quarry Road, follows Prescott Avenue around the corner onto Center Street and continues to West Street. The reviewing stand is at the corner of West Street and Center Street, and concludes at the entrance to the Harris Pavilion.
Parking for the parade will be provided in several public lots in the Old Town area, as well as side streets along the route. Parts of Center Street, Prescott Avenue and Quarry Road will be closed during the parade. Attendees are urged to arrive about an hour early for optimum viewing opportunities, and blankets as well as "low-profile" chairs are welcome.
