Manassas Is For Takeout Lovers In Time Of Coronavirus

MANASSAS, VA — To help businesses stay open, the Virginia Tourism Corporation and Virginia Restaurant, Lodging, and Travel Association launched "Virginia is for Restaurant Lovers Takeout Week," which will run from March 30 through April 5. Several restaurants and eateries in Manassas are participating in the week.

Residents are being asked to order takeout, delivery, or curbside pickup from Manassas restaurants and post a picture on social media using #VirginiaEatsLocal to show solidarity for small businesses during this uncertain time.

The new coronavirus, or COVID-19, has created strain for local eateries. Many are adapting to the virus by offering online ordering, delivery, takeout, and curbside pickup so patrons can eat out safely. Takeout Week encourages the community to support local restaurants.

"It’s time we give back to the industry that has given us so much," Historic Manassas Inc. said about helping restaurants in Manassas. "Join us for Virginia is for Restaurant Lovers Takeout Week by ordering takeout or delivery from your favorite Manassas restaurants."
