Manassas Vaccine Clinic Changes Schedule For Election Activities
Vaccine clinics in Manassas and Prince William County are changing their schedules as the area surpasses another vaccination milestone.

MANASSAS, VA — More than 50 percent of eligible residents in the Prince William Health District are fully vaccinated, according to their vaccine dashboard. The Prince William Health District includes Prince William County and the cities of Manassas and Manassas Park.
On Tuesday, June 8, some clinics in Prince William County will change their schedules due to the primary elections across the area. The Mason and Partners (MAP) clinic at the community center in Manassas Park will be closed on Tuesday, and appointments originally planned for Tuesday have been rescheduled for Thursday, June 10.
In a tweet, the City of Manassas Park said the MAP clinic would accept walk-ins from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Thursday, June 10. The clinic will use the Pfizer vaccine, which has been approved for use in people aged 12 or older.

Vaccinations for people who are homebound will not be affected, the city said. To set up a vaccine appointment for a Manassas Park resident who is homebound, call 703-335-8802.
The City of Manassas Park still lags behind the City of Manassas and Prince William County in vaccination efforts.

In Prince William County, 60 percent of eligible residents, people 12 or older, have received at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine, according to the health district's vaccine dashboard. In the City of Manassas, 61 percent of eligible people are at least partially vaccinated. However, in Manassas Park, only 51.5 percent of eligible people have received a vaccine.
The numbers are similar for fully vaccinated residents. 50.6 percent of eligible residents in the City of Manassas and Prince William County are fully vaccinated. Meanwhile, the City of Manassas Park has only fully vaccinated 43.5 percent of its eligible population.
In Woodbridge, the state-run Community Vaccination Center will close its doors later this month. It will administer its final vaccines on Saturday, June 26.

Residents of Woodbridge and the rest of Prince William County will still be able to receive their free coronavirus vaccine from the Manassas Mall clinic operated by the Prince William Health District.
Virginia residents can use the Vaccine Appointment Scheduling Engine to find an appointment through the health district. Alternatively, residents can use the federal vaccine finder tool to find a coronavirus vaccine from a pharmacy or other healthcare provider.
