'Neuter Scooter' For Dogs and Cats May 17 in Manassas

Pets will be picked up at the Prince William County Animal Shelter and taken to the Loving Touch Animal Hospital in Fredericksburg for work.

MANASSAS, VA — If you have pets that haven't been spayed or neutered, your opportunity beckons May 17 at the Prince William County Animal Shelter, 14807 Bristow Road.

It's the "Neuter Scooter" event, put on by Saint Seton's Orphaned Animals. Dogs and cats will be picked up in the parking lot at 7 a.m. and taken to the Loving Touch Animal Hospital in Fredericksburg for the procedures, after which they will be ready for owner pickup at 6:30 p.m. back at the shelter.

All dogs are required to have a heartworm test, and doctors can't perform surgery on dogs with heartworms.
