Nokesville Teen Stalked, Florida Man Arrested On Saturday: Police
A 23-year-old man was arrested in Nokesville on Saturday after he was accused of stalking a 16-year-old girl he met online, police said.

NOKESVILLE, VA ? A Florida man was arrested after he was accused of stalking a 16-year-old in Nokesville over the weekend, police said. A
Authorities identified the man as Sean Michael Mahar from Orlando, Florida. Mahar is charged with one count of stalking.
Mahar is currently being held without bond at the Prince William County Adult Detention Center. His court date is pending.

If convicted, Mahar could face up to 1 year in prison.
Around 6 p.m. on Saturday, a caller reported a suspicious person in the 12300 block of Valley View Drive. Officers identified the suspicious person as Mahar and the victim as a 16-year-old girl. Police said Mahar met the girl on social media, but they were no longer talking.

Officers said Mahar traveled to the northern Virginia area and followed the girl for two days in an attempt to meet her in person. The officers told Mahar to leave the girl alone, according to the police report.
Before the officers left, the girl said that Mahar had attempted to contact her on social media again, the police department said. The officers received arrest warrants for Mahar and arrested him in Manassas later on Saturday evening.
