Northern Virginia's weekend weather forecast is one that figures to be considerably more comfortable than what we experienced a week ago.
STERLING, VA — Perhaps the best thing about Northern Virginia's weekend weather forecast isn't that it calls for loads of sunshine but that the intense heat and humidity won't return in earnest until the work week. That's the word from the National Weather Service and other area forecasters.
As far as the Washington Post's Capital Weather Gang is concerned, Saturday should be the best day: "This might be the pick of the weekend, although neither day is too bad. Skies are mostly sunny (and) there's a slight chance a late afternoon or evening storm could roll off the mountains and into the area, but that should mainly stay southwest of us."
