Northern Virginia Weekend Weather: Surely Looks Like Rain

Will there be any breaks in expected rain for a bit of sunshine this weekend in Northern Virginia? Quite possibly, but you'll have to wait.

STERLING, VA — Rain is on the way for weekend, according to the National Weather Service's satellite center in Sterling. The only question is exactly when and exactly how much? Neither can be definitively answered, and there's always a chance the bulk of the precipitation could somehow skirt the area.

Click here to track the rain's movements, per the National Weather Service. Here's what the Washington Post Capital Weather Gang says: "Rain will probably not be nonstop the whole time, but anyone with outdoor plans (Friday) afternoon through (Saturday) evening, consider finalizing a “Plan B” soon."
