Police: Manassas Woman Choked During Attack

A Manassas woman was taken to a local hospital after she was choked during a fight with a man she knew, Prince William County Police reports show. 

Thomas James Robbins,32, of Camfield Circle in Manassas is charged with malicious wounding, strangulation and violation of a protective order. 

It happened Sunday just before 3:30 p.m.  at a residence on the 11000 of Camfield Circle in the Manassas area of the county. 

When police arrived, the victim told them she and the suspect had gotten into argument that escalated into a physical altercation during which she was assaulted and choked. 

The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 

A court date and bond information on the suspect isn't available.
