Police: Victim 'Slapped Through Window' in Assault Case

The investigation is ongoing.

Manassas City police are investigating a report of an assault that stemmed from a road rage incident on Sept. 24 in which a victim was reportedly slapped by another driver.

A victim reported to the police that she narrowly avoided colliding with another vehicle while she was driving on Sudley Road at the intersection with Portner Avenue before 5 p.m. Monday. 

The other car involved in the vehicle was a dark Honda Civic with Maryland tags, Sgt. Lowell Nevill said in a press release.

"The driver of the other vehicle followed her to the intersection on Centreville Road and Liberia, blowing the horn several times," said a release. "The victim stated that while at the intersection, the driver and several other girls got out of the other car. When the victim rolled down her window to ask what the problem was, the other driver walked up and slapped her through the window."

Police reports said the suspect then left in her vehicle, driving towards Prince William Parkway.

The victim described the suspect as being a young Hispanic or Asian female with burgundy hair and approximately 4-foot-10.
