Prince William County Property Taxes Due Oct. 5

You can pay by mail, online or in person at the McCoart building.

Personal property taxes for Prince William County residents are due on or before Oct. 5, 2012.

Residents can pay their tax by check in the mail, online using eCheck, via phone using a credit card or in person at the county’s tax administration office at the McCoart Administration Building at 7 County Complex Ct. in Woodbridge.

To access the eCheck system online, visit  http://www.pwcgov.org/tax.

“In addition, taxes can be paid using your Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express credit card. This service is available via phone at 1-888-2PAY-TAX or online at http://www.officialpayments.com, for an additional service fee that will be added to your charge for use of this service,” said a release from Prince William County government. “Information on how to pay by credit card and instructions for using this service can be found on the reverse side of your tax bill.”

Taxes can also be paid in person at the County’s Tax Administration Offices at the McCoart Administration Building, Ferlazzo Building and Sudley North Government Center. These offices are open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

Walk-in locations and phone center will remain open until 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 3, 4 and 5.
