Prince William To Hold Virtual Session On Route 28 Bypass Project

Prince William County, together with the Fairfax County Department of Transportation, is hosting a virtual information session Dec. 7.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA — Prince William County, together with the Fairfax County Department of Transportation, is hosting a virtual information session Dec. 7 on the Route 28 Bypass project.

The $300 million infrastructure project, one of the largest in the history of Prince William County, is designed to reduce traffic congestion and improve travel reliability in the area.

Officials will provide information about the project, including its current status and the proposed Route 28 Bypass connection and tie-in point to the existing Route 28 in Fairfax County.

The Prince William County Department of Transportation will host other information sessions on the broader Route 28 Bypass project and address topics specific to Prince William County in the near future, the county said Tuesday.

The public will be allowed to ask questions at the end of the presentation and provide feedback.

The project team will record the meeting and presentation and post them on the project webpage.

Residents should visit the county's website to register for the virtual meeting, which will take place at 7 p.m. on Dec. 7. The dial-in number for the meeting is 415-655-0001, with an access code of 180 932 8746.
