Redskins All-Pro To Coach at Osbourn: Media Report

Retired player takes over football team that finished 2-8 last season.

Chris Samuels, a former Washington Redskins All-Pro offensive tackle, will take over as football coach at Osbourn High School in Manassas, according to media reports.

The Manassas School Board approved the hiring of Samuels on Tuesday night, and he met with the football team on Wednesday, radio station 106.7 FM The Fan reported. Samuels takes over for Sonny Hagy, who is retiring from coachig and teaching. The Eagles finished 2-8 last season.

Drafted by Washington in 2000, Samuels was a six-time Pro Bowler in 10 seasons with the Redskins. He retired from football following the 2009 season.
