Retired Manassas City Police K9 Passes Away

From the Manassas City Police Department:

The Manassas City Police Department regrets to announce the death of retired K9 Max, a six-year veteran of the Manassas City Police K9 Unit. Max worked a quality career, certified in patrol tactics and narcotic detection, before retiring in 2014. Max passed away peacefully on July 23, 2016 at the home of his handler, former MCPD Officer Mike Swirchak. The Manassas City Police Department asks that the community hold the Swirchak family in its thoughts and prayers.
