Richard Kenneth Habib, 44

Richard Kenneth Habib, age 44, of Manassas, Virginia passed away Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Prince William Hospital.

He was born on December 7, 1970 in Lewes, Delaware the son of the late Neesim Elias Habib and Mary Ann (Savage) Habib. He was the Regional Operations Director of the East Coast for TLC Laser Eye Center for the past 14 years and previously worked 6 years for Whitten Laser Eye. He served in the US Army for 6 years whom deployed in support of Operation Desert Storm a Gulf War Veteran.

Without a doubt his life was soccer. He mentored and coached for 17 years and 14 of those years were with NVSC. He loved all of his Bulldogs and the many great memories they had together. As a referee he mentored young referees and would always tell the referees to “Coah’em up”.

Richard was an amazing husband and loving father. He loved spending time with his children and sending them on wild scavenger hunts. His smile and laughter was infectious. He was selfless, caring, and giving man who touched many hearts. We are blessed to have had him in our lives. Memories of him will live on forever in the hearts of us all.

Survivors include his loving wife, Penny Marie (Alexander) Habib; five children, Alexandra Marie, Rachel Katharine, Richard Kenneth, Jr., Charles Alexander Savage and Samantha Grace all of Manassas, Virginia; mother, Mary Ann Habib of Arlington, Virginia; brother, Robert Habib (Teresa O’Donnell Habib) of Chesapeake, Virginia; Father & Mother-in-law, Robert W. and Jacqulyn F. Alexander of Centreville, Virginia. And many loving family members.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 13th from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, Virginia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, October 14th starting at 10:00 am located at All Saints Catholic Church, 9300 Stonewall Road, Manassas, Virginia. Interment will follow at Quantico National Cemetery.
