Shooting At Manassas Mall Kills One, Injures Another: Police

A shooting at the Manassas Mall on Friday night killed a 34-year-old man from Baltimore. No suspects have been arrested, police said.

MANASSAS, VA — A shooting at the Manassas Mall's parking lot killed one man and injured another on Friday night, according to the Prince William County Police Department. Police said Jahmar Latravern Graves of Baltimore died at a nearby hospital after the shooting.

At 11:16 p.m. on Friday, officers responded to the parking lot of the mall on Sudley Road to investigate a shooting. When they arrived, officers found two men suffering from gunshot wounds, according to a release from the police department.

The two victims were taken to nearby hospitals. Graves died of his injuries at the hospital. The other victim, a 22-year-old man, suffered serious injuries, but is expected to survive, police said.

Authorities said the shooting occurred after an argument in the Manassas Mall's parking lot. At some point during the argument, shots were fired and the two victims were struck. The other people involved in the incident fled before police arrived.

No arrest has been made, and the department's Homicide Unit is actively investigating the shooting. Detectives are looking to speak with anyone who may have more information about what happened.
