Suspect Sought in Armed Larceny at Giant Food Store

Manassas City Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect who reportedly stole a woman’s purse and displayed a handgun Tuesday at Giant Food store.

Around 10 p.m. Tuesday, Manassas City Police responded to the Giant Food at 10100 Dumfries Road to investigate a reported larceny.

The victim, a 48-year-old Manassas woman, told officers an unknown male stole her purse and ran toward the store exit. A store employee chased the suspect, who then turned around and displayed a handgun in his waistband before fleeing in an unknown direction.
