Three Displaced in Sudley Manor Drive House Fire

Fire official said smoke detectors alerted the residents.

Two adults and one child were displaced from a fire in the 9700 block of Sudley Manor Drive, said Prince William County Department of Fire and Rescue Thursday.

Fire and rescue units were dispatched to a structure fire in the two-story, single-family home. By the time units arrived at 1:48 a.m., the residents had already evacuated from the house. Fire officials credited smoke detectors with alerting the residents to the fire.

Officials said the fire, which started in the laundry room on the lower level, was quickly extinguished by firefighters.
