UVA Health is now the sole owner of the Novant Health UVA Health system. It was previously a joint operation in Prince William County.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA — UVA Health is now the sole owner of their joint operation with Novant Health in northern Virginia, according to a news release. UVA Health now holds full ownership of the Prince William Medical Center, the Haymarket Medical Center, and the Culpeper Medical Center.
These medical facilities were previously owner and operated through a joint operating company established by UVA Health and Novant Health. UVA Health officials said the move will provide specialized care for patients, and will also allow patients to participate in clinical trials.
Dr. K. Craig Kent is UVA Health's CEO and the University of Virginia's executive vice president for health affairs. "As our academic health system expands throughout Virginia, we are able to provide the full range of primary and subspecialty care for patients throughout the Commonwealth," he said. "UVA Health will be able to provide greater access to cutting-edge therapies and clinical trials that can lead to better treatments for all in the years to come."
