Off The Wall Art Show Open House This Weekend In Manassas

The 14th annual "Off the Wall" high school art show and competition is having an open house this weekend in downtown Manassas.

MANASSAS, VA — One of the cooler winter exhibits every year in the downtown area is the Off the Wall art contest with a 40-some-day display in Center For the Arts at the Candy Factory, 9419 Battle Street. All the works are by area high school students, giving the exhibit a feel of future greatness.

Well, there's an Open House 2-4 p.m. at the Factory for the artists, their parents and anyone else who might want to pop in and check out some of the eclectic things on display. That's also when the top winners of the competition will be announced.

The 14th-year exhibit, which began in mid December and runs through Jan. 25, has several categories. They include visual art, poetry, wearable art and STEAM-influenced arts & technology. Once the exhibit ends, it will move on to Lockheed Martin, NOVA Manassas and Haymarket Medical Center.
