What's Open, Closed For Labor Day 2020 In Manassas

MANASSAS, VA — Summer may have looked different this year because of the pandemic, but Labor Day is still the time to bid the season farewell before pools close and kids start classes. In Prince William County, there are various closings and schedule changes to know for the holiday.

Below are the schedule changes to know for the Sept. 7, Labor Day holiday in Manassas:

Prince William County government offices: Prince William County government offices are closed on Monday, Sept. 7.

City of Manassas government offices: City of Manassas government offices are closed on Sept. 7.

Courts: Circuit Court, General District Court, and Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court are closed on Sept. 7.

Manassas City Public Schools: Sept. 7 is an observed holiday. Students will return to virtual learning on Tuesday, Sept. 8.

Manassas Park City Schools: Sept. 7 is an observed holiday. The first day of school (virtual) is Tuesday, Sept. 8.

Prince William County Public Schools: Sept. 7 is an observed holiday. The first day of school (virtual) is Tuesday, Sept. 8.

Libraries: All Prince William County Library branches will close from Sept. 5 through Sept. 7 and reopen Sept. 8.

Parks and Recreation: Most outdoor facilities operated by Prince William County Parks, Recreation & Tourism are open.

Animal shelter: The Prince William County Animal Shelter is open by appointment only.

Post offices: U.S. Postal Service offices are closed on Monday, Sept. 7.

Trash and Recycling: The Prince William County Landfill and the Balls Ford Road Yard Waste Composting Facility will close at 2 p.m. Sept. 7 and reopen Sept. 8.

City of Manassas trash & recycling: Trash and recycling services will be on a regular schedule on Monday, Sept. 7.

OmniRide: OmniRide will not be providing bus service on Monday, Sept. 7.

Virginia Railway Express: VRE does not provide service on Labor Day.
