Winter Weather Advisory for Monday-Tuesday

Snow covered roads, limited visibility and other travel disruptions are possible, according to the National Weather Service.

A winter weather advisory for snow will be in effect from 10 p.m. until midnight late Tuesday.

Snow accumulation of 1-3 inches is expected, with locally higher amounts, particularly in the northwest suburbs of D.C., according to the National Weather Service.

A mixture of rain and snow will develop Monday evening, with precipitation turning to all snow around or shortly after midnight.
