World Police & Fire Games are coming to Prince William & Manassas Prince William, VA - Prince William & Manassas will play host to 5 events at this year’s World Police & Fire Games. Prince William Ice Center, Quantico Shooting Club, Prince William Forest Park, Fairfax Rod and Gun Club & Evergreen Country Club will be holding several sporting events throughout the week of June 26th – July 5th. All events are open to the public and free to attend.

Discover Prince William & Manassas will assist visitors and athletes in the area with trip planning including hotel, attraction, dining and event options. More than 8,400 room nights have been secured through 15 + local hotels in the area. The Country Inn & Suites Woodbridge will serve as the transportation hub for the athletes and visitors traveling to and from the area throughout their visit.

“We are so excited to have the opportunity to welcome and support police and fire personnel from around the world.” said Ann Marie Maher, President/CEO of Discover Prince William & Manassas. “Through increased hotel room occupancy as well as food, beverage and retail sales, we are expecting to see a strong positive impact on the region’s economy as a result of this event.”

Working closely to ensure and encourage community involvement, the Prince William County Chamber of Commerce & Discover Prince William and Manassas, held a panel discussion with, Bill Knight, CEO of the games, and staff from their planning office on Tuesday. The discussion focused specifically on informing local business owners on how they can get involved while the games are in session. The games will be held from June 26th - July 5th 2015, drawing an estimated 15,000 – 30,000 visitors to our region, 12,000 of which will be athletes alone. There will be 60 + sports on display and 70 countries competing for over 1,600 medal sporting events throughout the region.
